Class IV Laser
K-Laser Therapy - High Power Laser Therapy
K-Laser is a Class IV Laser Therapy, also known as High Power Laser Therapy (HPLT). It offers patients a painless, non-surgical and side effect free treatment for conditions previously refractive to traditional medical care. The High-power laser therapy targets damaged tissue with specific wavelengths of light that have been found to interact with tissue and accelerate the healing process.
Therapy lasers have been used and researched extensively in Europe for more than 30 years. However, the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) only cleared a low-level laser in 2002, and the first class IV therapy laser in 2003. Not all Laser therapies are the same, Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) and it’s known effects can note be compared to that of Class IV Laser therapy. The most important clinical and therapeutic difference between Class IV Laser therapy and LLLT is that the Class IV is able to produce a primary biostimulative effect on deeper tissues than lower powered lasers— while also producing substantial secondary and tertiary effects.

The FDA approved indications for use of Class IV laser include the following:
- relief of muscle and joint aches, pain and stiffness;
- relaxation of muscles and muscle spasms;
- temporary increase in local blood circulation; and
- relief of pain and stiffness associated with arthritis
Research results from Laser Therapy
- Injuries treated with laser therapy heal faster
- Laser Therapy strengthens tissue repair
- Laser Therapy improves blood flow & lymphatic drainage
- It provides effective pain relief
- It can improve immune response
- Class IV Therapy Lasers Maximize Primary Biostimulative Effects

Conditions Treated With K-Laser / High Power Laser Therapy
High power laser therapy stimulates the tissue by a process called photobiostimulation. This process enhances the body’s natural regenerative functions, as well as stimulating the release of endorphins and collagen. It may eventually even normalize damaged or injured tissue. photobiostimulation stimulate all cell types, including soft tissue, ligaments, cartilage, and nerves. Some conditions that have been shown to respond well to K-Laser include:
- Peripheral Neuropathy
- Fibromyalgia
- Back and Neck Pain
- Sciatic Pain
- SI Joint dysfunction
- Herniated disc
- Arthritis pain
- Degenerative Discs/Joints Diseases
- Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
- Knee Problems
- Tendinitis
- Bursitis
- Trigger Fingers
- Bunion Pains
- Plantar Fasciitis
- Sprains and/or Strains
- Bruises and Contusions
- Burns
- Frozen Shoulder
- Plantar fasciitis
- Heel pain
- Headaches, Cervicogenic headaches
- Myofascial pain syndromes
- Fibromyalgia
- TMJ
- Athletic Injuries
- Most of the Musculoskeletal pathologies can be treated with K-Laser therapy
More than 1200 studies conducted over 40 years worldwide have shown the powerful therapeutic benefits of high power laser therapy.
